Believe in building community, sharing what you know, and making the water a place every woman belongs?

This is your moment.

Some women wait for permission.
Sirens create possibility.

If you've felt the call — to lead, to connect, to help others find their feet (and their cast) — you’re already halfway there. As a WRFL Siren, you won’t just be guiding fishing sessions. You’ll be lighting the path for hesitant beginners, nurturing friendships, and creating ripples of confidence that stretch far beyond the shoreline.

We’re with you. We’ll back you. And we’ll be beside you every cast along the way.

Hey, I’m Ruth.

i’m a siren in bairnsdale, victoria.

My time as the Siren has been incredibly rewarding.

Watching the women in my CrewPod pick up their rods with more confidence, chat about lures like old-hands, and even head off fishing on their own... it’s a quiet kind of magic.

We’re a mixed bunch — 20s to almost 80 — but the way everyone shows up, eager to learn and support each other, is something truly special.

I’m only just beginning my journey as a Siren — but what I know already is that this role gives you something you didn’t know you needed — a deeper sense of connection, purpose, and pride in watching others grow. It gives me such a buzz to see them achieving great results!

WHO hears the Siren Call?

IT DOESN’T RESONATE FOR ALL.

  • She Lives for the Lightbulb Moment

Nothing beats the look on someone’s face when they “get it.” That glint of pride, the spark of I did it. That’s her drug of choice.

  • She’s a Natural Uplifter

Empowering other women isn’t a hobby — it’s a mission. She knows the ripple effect confidence can create, and she wants to be the first drop.

  • She Relishes Skill-Sharing as Adventure

She’s practical, hands-on, and a bit of a MacGyver. She loves discovering new tips and sharing them like treasure maps with mates.

  • She’s a Quiet Guide, Not a Loud Captain

She doesn’t bark instructions — she walks beside. She’s there with the thermos, the backup rig, and the reassuring smile that says, “You’ve got this.”

  • She Feels Called to Create Belonging

Maybe she knows what it’s like to feel unsure. Maybe she fished alone for years. Either way — she’s driven to make sure no woman ever feels that way again.

  • She’s Hungry for Growth

Not just in casting distance — in purpose, people, and power. She sees leadership as a muscle worth building, and she’s ready to stretch.

  • She Wants to Leave a Mark

Not in concrete. In hearts. In memories. In a local waterway kept clean and respected. She wants to be the reason someone else found their passion.

  • She Believes In Progress, Not Perfection

She’s over ego. She’s done with judgment. She shows up messy if she has to — as long as she shows up.

  • She Gets High on Sisterhood

Swapping yarns. Casting together. Cheering the first catch. These aren’t just activities — they’re medicine for the soul.

  • She Knows This Is Bigger Than Fishing

For her, a rod is just the start. What she’s really casting is a lifeline — to community, to courage, to something much bigger than bait and tackle.

Anything else you’d like us to know?

My first Fish‘n’Meet was so rewarding. Everyone managed to tie their knots on first attempt with very little hands-on help. Everyone was very proud of themselves. ~ Kellie Hundt, Siren
